Economic Development
In 2010, some movers and shakers took a hard look at Neligh. They didn’t like what they saw on the horizon and decided to make some changes. The Grow Neligh Group was formed which implemented the creation of a community vision. Through the visioning process it became evident that this town of 1,600 needed to start looking at the Local Option Municipal Economic Development Act LB 840. In November of 2011 the measure passed. In April 2013, once funds had accumulated, they created the Neligh Economic Development Office with the City of Neligh. We've continued the mission of the Grow Neligh Group. We refuse to let Neligh slip quietly into obscurity.
