What is "This is MY Neligh"?
"This is MY Neligh" is a one-of-a-kind grassroots community marketing campaign that uses videos to promote Neligh's numerous activities and outstanding quality of life.
How did "This is MY Neligh" get started?
Neligh participated in the Marketing Hometown America program in late 2013. The program asked residents of Neligh how we should market Neligh to attract new residents. The overwhelming response was to market Neligh’s outstanding quality of life! To market Neligh’s quality of life the Neligh Economic Development Office developed the “This is MY Neligh” marketing campaign.“This is MY Neligh” focuses on capturing all aspects of Neligh’s quality of life with point-of-view videos, allowing new residents to see the opportunities that exist in Neligh with their own eyes. Multiple videos will be captured showing off Neligh’s quality of life covering different activities in Neligh ranging from canoeing, swimming, demo derby, ATV riding, sledding, and kids playing in the park, to youth sports available in Neligh. The videos will then be edited and uploaded on the City’s YouTube Channel and shared via social media. The videos can easily be shown in several different marketing venues from TV to a booth at a home show. Videos will be shot using volunteers from the community displaying what they love to do in Neligh.
